The sudden, unexpected loss of my father last Saturday made everything in my life come to a hault. He is in a better place, where he can rest freely in peace, now that his work on Earth is done.
Over the years, I’ve heard hundreds of excuses and stories as to why a Wedding wasn’t as successful as it should’ve been & a majority of them make me roll my eyes as if the bride, groom, parents & family members involved in the preparations are the victims here vs. the culprits that could’ve done a better job to guarantee the success as opposed to complaining after nothing more can be done; just vivid memories of what was done & what could’ve been done better.
As all of my clients know, the success of their Wedding is pretty easy to determine: Did everybody have a great time? A majority of the time its a unanimous YES done. If all the time, efforts & preparation paid off…the results will speak for themselves, be clea, and all in attendance will be reflecting on all that they witnessed, were involved in & captured memories of.
Excuses, complaints & “what if…” type statements are nothing more than someone or group of people’s lack of integrity & commitment to do what it takes to make it a day to remember for their clients. They are avoiding any type of responsibility whatsoever & more than likely blaming it on the client or some other ridiculous circumstance or situation.
When no corners are cut, done right with the appropriate team to represent you – the work, time & effort they put into making your day perfect will be done with heart & soul as professionals who take full responsibility for their efforts, talents & outcome of what you have them there to do.
The “black or white” of a Wedding is the results you personally feel, see & witness. All the comments you hear, action in and around the dancefloor, and the overall general mood, feelings & atmosphere have a very important role in the creation of your Wedding results!
Just remember, don’t lie to yourself about making meaning into something that is not true. The “gray” area is removed & doesn’t exist with statements including “but” or anything that doesn’t make make it clear. The results of your special day are one or the other to each of your guests & can make your vendor decisions easy when they focus on the success & visualize the actions they are taking to give you the results that will last a lifetime!
Give your friends & family the experience you have had for their special day.

You work hard for your money & it has power. The dollar is weaker than it was 3 years ago and can buy you more than it did so extra value, quality, and service comes into play big time.
Anybody can offer you a discount at any time just to bring you in as a client yet how are you going to be served? How hard are they going to work for you? What are they going to do for you in addition to what you are paying for?
To fully have them earn your Wedding business, the discussion has to be focused on quality & service otherwise none of this will matter the only thing you are distracted by is the cost. Would you rather get someone cheap who is going to do nothing for you besides show up or a trusted, passionate business owner who is honored to be apart of your Wedding day that will give you everything they have to make your day unforgettable?
Whether you got a referral, word of mouth, or are looking on the internet, ask yourself, “Who has proved to me they are worthy of my business?”

Very few things in life are decided on anymore without looking at budget, quality, cost of ownership, along with reliability & value. The high the price goes, the more these comes out to play.
Not too many things can be the peace of mind & release of stress that comes from knowing something willl work for you when needed, you can depend on when least expect it & continue to provide you with good thoughts & experience that you wouldn’t exchange for anything.
Don’t cut yourself short knowing that reliability & value are critical to lots of things and situations in life, especially on your Wedding day. Everybody wants to save money this day & age to get a “good deal” yet at what cost?
Reserving inferior services or products cause you want to save is fine in reality yet what if they don’t last? What if they don’t show up? or Hold true to the commitments they set to themselves & you on your special day?
Reliability & value are two very important intangible traits that couples are using more & more to make decisions and know that their money is in good hands and the proper actions will be taken to give you the results you’ve been waiting a lifetime to experience!
Companies that are committed to reliability & value take serious pride in their work, have great credibility, and want to offer you the best solution possible free of stress, second-thoughts & obstacles to overcome.
Ask yourself this: What is having a perfect, extraordinary Wedding free of problems, stress-free & uncertainty worth to you?

Talking about something doesn’t create results, only by doing it. Wedding professionals can say anything related to their ego running all over you…however when the rubber meets the road they have to prove it to you and your guests in real-time on the biggest day of your life…not such an easy thing unless they are committed to the work, effort, and preparation it takes to keep those promises for themselves and to you (their client).
I would rather involve a couple into what we are creating rather than tell them as if they are excluded from the visuals and inner-workings.
Lipservice & “blah, blah, blah” to me doesn’t do anything besides confuse people and further puts the professional on a silver pedestal with their ego leading the charge. Anybody in anything they take seriously will tell you that to be successful takes years of hard work, effort & passion to seek improvement and ultimately achieve what they want to be knowing that this journey is ever-evolving, never stops, and up to the individual to determine for themselves how good & talented they want to be.
The work, sweat, time, and preparation of your Wedding professionals is the ONLY THING that either creates the results you are looking for or not so much period. Human beings as a species don’t want to be responsible for anything in life so why would they care about you & your day if it doesn’t mean anything to them as a passion with emotion, substance & not a paycheck?
True professionals speak quietly in public about what they do & let their preparation, actions, and results speak for themselves. They are so concerned about mastering their lines, making what they do look easy/seamless, and working on their craft that they don’t have time or want to run up their ego about events that happened in the past when here is now.
There is no mistaking professionals the results of those who take action for your special day with passion, determination, and commitment vs. those that will talk to whoever maybe listening and make excuses/complain about why things didn’t go as planned….Who would you rather have represent you? The choice is yours?

Great people that represent any industry are hard to come by this day & age who are good natured, have nothing but the best intentions, and can always be counted on to produce results.
It is too bad that search for people to do business with has to be such a process when it comes to qualifications, experience, credibility, past clientele, etc. Those who are usually not doing great work are the one’s who make it more difficult for those who do make perfect, satisfied results their own standard and action.
As actor Steve Martin eluded to in his book: “Born Standing Up”, “great performers do it night after night.” To some it may be their calling and to others its their passion & eveyrthing they work for day-after-day, month-after-month & year-after-year.
Performers know deep down what it takes for them mentally and physically to produce at such a high level all the time for those who matter most – their audiences!
Keep these insights very much in mind when reserving talent for your Wedding day. It doesn’t matter if they are florists, planners or entertainment professionals; performers make it happen for their clients regardless of time, effort involved or what they have to sacrifice to make it extraordinary.
Nothing stands in the way of a performer doing what they love to do. Who wouldn’t want that as part of their Wedding day?
Make the contribution to others you care about & pass this article along to them!

A majority of brides & grooms on planet Earth agree that they don’t want a “cookie-cutter” Wedding so then why as time progresses in their planning process do they change their minds?
It is safe to say that most couples want their Wedding to be personal, fun & memorable at a minimum among other things. How is this going to be created? As Albert Einstein once said, “doing the same things over & over again and expecting different results” is the definition of insanity.
The greatest challenge I as a Custom Wedding Designer, Planner & Master of Ceremonies is for couples to see a new way & want to try something different that cannot be quantified by design. Giving up what couples have seen in the past for what is possible is what I am here to do. It is almost as if they (couples) make what was done & the results (good or bad) of a friend or family member’s Wedding their reality in all that is available to them which is just not true. Yet when it comes to making a choice with commitment to it, any couples choose ordinary & what has been done over & over again cause they visualize what they will receive even if the results are boring or plain vs. carving your own path, taking a stand for their love & own personalities by creating a Wedding that is one of a kind, custom & filled with personal touches & your relationship everywhere.
Don’t let guests ever forget about your Wedding by taking the leap, spending the time & creating your special day from scratch…you will not regret any of the work, time & investment you make with a lifetime of memories to prove it.
